Your Safety

The Active Queensway Safety Charter

Moving Together, Safer Together At Active Queensway, we believe the streets and parks of Wellingborough belong to everyone. We are committed to ensuring that women and girls, as well as all members of our community, can walk, jog, and run without fear, hesitation, or harassment. To uphold this, we pledge the following:

The “No One Left Behind” Rule

Whether it’s a Tuesday stroll or a Saturday morning 5k, we move as a community. Our groups are designed so that no one is ever isolated or left to finish a route alone.

Visible Support

Our volunteers and leaders are trained to be approachable. If you ever feel uncomfortable, followed, or unsure, look for the high-vis vest. We are your “safe haven” on the move.

A Culture of Respect

We have a zero-tolerance policy for catcalling, intimidation, or any form of harassment. Active Queensway is a space where you are defined by your movement, not by your appearance.

Safe Routes & Times

We plan our sessions to prioritise well-lit paths and high-visibility areas. We work with local partners, such as Glamis Hall, to provide familiar and safe meeting points.

Empowerment Through Community

We believe that “safety in numbers” is more than just a phrase – it’s a way to reclaim our local green spaces. We are here to help you build the confidence to enjoy the Queensway trails.
